Paver Sealing in Southwest Florida

West Bay Sitework & Pavers Co cleans, re-sands and seals paver driveways, pool decks, patios and walkways throughout Southwest Florida — from Punta Gorda to Marco Island. Sealing brings back the original color of faded pavers, locks the joint sand in place and makes the surface far easier to keep clean through Southwest Florida's rain, sun and salt air.

Sealer locks in whatever is underneath it, so the surface has to be right before anything is applied. We pressure clean the pavers, treat organic staining from mold, mildew and algae, and address rust or oil spots where we can before the surface is allowed to dry fully.

Washed-out joints are what let pavers shift, sink and grow weeds. We refill the joints with the correct sand and compact it in before sealing, so the finished surface is locked together rather than simply coated.

We match the sealer to the paver and the look you want — natural matte, satin or a wet look with more color pop. Our products are chosen for UV and moisture exposure, which is what causes cheap sealers here to cloud, peel or turn yellow within a season.

How often should pavers be sealed in Southwest Florida? Most Southwest Florida driveways and pool decks do well on a two to three year cycle. Surfaces in full sun or with heavy traffic may need it closer to every two years.

Does sealing make pool deck pavers slippery? Not when the right product is used. For pool decks we use sealers formulated for wet areas and can add a slip-resistant additive.

Can you seal pavers that were never sealed before? Yes. Older, never-sealed pavers usually show the biggest improvement, since cleaning and sealing restores color that has faded and washed out over the years.
